We’re delighted to be collaborating with Bath Rugby this coming academic year (2022/23) to create the most comprehensive sports and wellbeing programme across Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. Whilst Bath Rugby’s Grassroots team will develop students on the pitch, we will be focused on developing your students’ character away from the pitch. This will include areas such as life skills, self-confidence and independence.

Character Development Packages

HUDDLE (£1000) 

• SEND specific sessions for either the whole class, lunchtime club or after school provision focusing on tackling social isolation and increasing physical activity (10 hours). 
• Introduction to out of school provision (Hi5! and External Provider) for participants to join - Golf, Rugby, Social, Multi-Sport, Dance and Fitness. 
• Invite to Summer Scrum 2023: an inclusive and inspiring multi sports and wellbeing festival for the whole class. 
• Bath Rugby Foundation coaches supporting schools' sports day (2 hours). 

• Gain full access to our affiliate portal which hosts a variety of resources and content to support with your teaching of inclusive rugby and PE. 
• Bath Rugby and Bath Rugby Foundation offers your school the opportunity to access free coaching through funded partner programmes. 

 

ENGAGE (£1000) 

• Primary school sessions for the whole class focusing on building confidence in key skills such as resilience, empathy, teamwork, focus and leadership (10 hours). 

• Dedicated session to introduction to online safety awareness for young people.  
• Specialist sports coaching delivery in multiple sports such as: Rugby, Football, Tri-Golf, Dance and Basketball.  
• Invite to Summer Scrum 2023: an inclusive and inspiring multi sports and wellbeing festival for whole class. 
• Gain full access to our affiliate portal which hosts a variety of resources and content to support with your teaching of inclusive rugby and PE. 
• Bath Rugby and Bath Rugby Foundation offers your school the opportunity to access free coaching through funded partner programmes. 

 

TACKLE (£2000) 

• Secondary school programme for 4-10 selected pupils at risk of exclusion, or in need of additional small group support. Bath Rugby Foundation to provide 15 hours (1.5-hour sessions) of facilitated learning opportunities tailored to schools’ focus.  
• Monitoring and evaluation reporting provided on completion of programme and pupil support for sign posting for extracurricular / additional services.  
• Sessions are focussed in two parts (indoor tasks and creative rugby practises) on Bath Rugby Foundation values: Collaboration, Trust, Hope, Belief and Compassion.  

• Celebration Event held offsite (3 hours). A challenge set to provide space for the pupils to represent their school, feel positive about themselves and gain a sense of accomplishment by practising their learnt skills under pressure.

• Bath Rugby and Bath Rugby Foundation offers your school the opportunity to access free coaching through funded partner programmes including Project Rugby.
