Change a young person’s future for just £50 a month

Every young person deserves the chance to feel valued, supported and hopeful about their future.

At Bath Rugby Foundation, we work with vulnerable young people facing some of life’s toughest challenges - poverty, exclusion from education, disability, poor mental health and difficult home lives.

Many arrive feeling judged, isolated and underestimated.

Through sport, education and mentoring, we help them rebuild confidence, develop life skills and create pathways into education, employment and independence.

By sponsoring a student for £50 per month or £600 per year, you can directly support a young person to overcome barriers and build a brighter future.

Where your money goes

Your sponsorship helps remove the everyday barriers preventing young people from progressing and gives them the support they need to thrive.

Your donation could help provide:

  • Travel expenses
  • Food and essential living support
  • Clothing and footwear
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Mentoring and trusted adult guidance
  • Qualifications and employability courses
  • Life skills and independence support

Most importantly, your support gives young people belief in themselves and hope for the future.

Our Pathway of Support

At Bath Rugby Foundation, we support young people at every stage of their journey - from early intervention in schools to employability and independence.

Schools Partnership | Ages 5-15

Working in primary and secondary schools across Bath and North East Somerset, Wiltshire, and Somerset, we support pupils struggling with attendance, behaviour, confidence and engagement in education.

Through mentoring, sport and targeted interventions, we help young people build resilience, improve emotional wellbeing and reconnect positively with school.

Your sponsorship helps fund early intervention before young people reach crisis point.

Engage | Ages 9-13

Engage provides mentoring and targeted support for young people facing challenges outside the classroom, including poor mental health, difficult home lives and social isolation.

Young people receive trusted adult support, positive role models and safe spaces to build confidence, friendships and self-belief.

Your sponsorship helps vulnerable young people feel supported, valued and understood, helping them get back into mainstream education.

Wraparound Support | Ages 5-25

Wraparound Support includes our Hi5! Clubs and BreakOut for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and children receiving free schools meals (FSM).

BreakOut is our inclusive Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, offering enriching, nutritious and joyful school holiday experiences to children aged 5-11 across our community. Targeted at families eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals (FSM) and children with SEND, Break Out tackles holiday hunger, physical inactivity and social isolation by providing accessible, fun activities alongside hot meals and nutrition education.

Hi5! Club our inclusive after-school and community club for children and young people aged 7-25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES). Since 2006, the programme has provided a safe, structured, and inclusive environment for participants to access physical activity, reduce social isolation, and build life skills.

Your sponsorship helps remove the barriers stopping young people from progressing.

Alternative Learning Hub | Ages 14-16

The Alternative Learning Hub supports students struggling in mainstream education or at risk of exclusion.

Using smaller group learning, mentoring and sport, we help young people improve attendance, gain qualifications, develop life skills and rebuild confidence in themselves and their future.

Your sponsorship helps young people rediscover a positive pathway in education.

Advantage | Ages 16-25

Advantage supports young adults who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) into employment, apprenticeships and further education.

Young people gain employability training, qualifications, mentoring and real-world work experience opportunities.

Your sponsorship helps young people develop independence, confidence and a brighter future.

The difference you make

Your support helps young people:

  • Stay engaged in education
  • Improve mental wellbeing
  • Build confidence and resilience
  • Gain qualifications
  • Access employment opportunities
  • Develop independence and life skills
  • Feel safe, supported and included

Every sponsorship helps a young person move from surviving to succeeding.
