Our Mission Vision for Change Bath Rugby Foundation: Our Vision for Change (2024-2027) At Bath Rugby Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a fair start in life. Yet, too many young people in Bath and the surrounding areas are missing out on the opportunities and support they need to thrive. Our mission is to step in where others can’t, offering vital emotional, social, and practical help to children and young people who need it most. We see potential in every young person. Our work is driven by 5 key values: Collaboration – We believe in the power of teamwork to amplify change. Trust – We nurture trust, ensuring it’s at the heart of everything we do. Hope – We inspire hope and resilience in every young person we reach. Belief – We have unwavering faith in the potential of all young people. Compassion – Our actions are grounded in empathy and care for others. Our Reach and Impact Bath is a city of contrasts—while it may be renowned for its beauty and history, it is also one of the most unequal cities in the UK. Right now, there are over 10,000 vulnerable young people across our region. Annually we work with around 4,500 children, offering over 1,700 hours of support in classrooms and providing more than 2,500 hours of physical activity at 49 community sites. We are proud to have supported hundreds of young people with special educational needs (SEN) and provided nearly 2,400 meals during school holidays to children living in poverty. Our Mission for 2024-2027 Over the next 3 years, we’re expanding our work to make an even bigger impact. We’re focusing on 4 key areas: Alternative LearningEducation should be accessible to everyone, but for some, traditional routes simply don’t work. Our Alternative Learning Hub offers a vital lifeline for students who have struggled in mainstream schools. Through innovative learning models and strong partnerships, we’re putting the needs of these young people first. In 2024-25, we’re launching conversations with key decision-makers to ensure our hub becomes the first choice for students who need extra support. Community EngagementStrong communities build strong futures. We’re expanding our community programmes, reaching more schools and creating deeper connections. In the next 3 years, we’ll extend our reach to the 5 areas of deprivation in Bath, ensuring that children in places like Twerton and Fox Hill have consistent access to the support they need. Volunteers are essential to our work, and we’re committed to growing our volunteer base, offering training and creating opportunities for people to give back in meaningful ways. FundraisingOur ability to change lives depends on the generosity of our supporters. We’re working to strengthen our fundraising efforts by building lasting relationships with businesses, schools, and Bath Rugby supporters. In 2024-25, we’re expanding our team, and launching new initiatives, including corporate sponsorships and Foundation Day events to raise awareness and funds. Together, we can ensure that our programmes continue to grow and evolve. Communications We want everyone to know about the life-changing work happening at Bath Rugby Foundation. Over the next 3 years, we’ll be strengthening our communications, ensuring that the stories of young people we’ve helped are heard. From success stories to community updates, we’ll be engaging new supporters and inspiring action through social media, newsletters, and collaborations with Bath Rugby’s dedicated fanbase. Why Bath Rugby Foundation? We aren’t just a charity—we’re a community. We are here for the long haul, committed to standing alongside Bath’s most vulnerable young people and empowering them to build brighter futures. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the pitch, or through vital social services, our programmes are designed to build confidence, develop life skills, and create pathways to independence within each young person. Together, we can change lives. We’re not doing this alone. Bath Rugby Foundation is proud to work hand-in-hand with local schools, businesses, and community groups across the region.
