Foundation Day delivered another unforgettable occasion at The Rec, bringing together supporters, sponsors, partners and the wider Bath Rugby community in support of Bath Rugby Foundation.

Thanks to this collective effort, over £45,000 has been raised so far, with additional funds from Cheers for Charity and the Silent Auction - enter here still to come. The overall total is expected to rise further in the coming weeks as all donations are processed.

This level of support has a direct and meaningful impact on the Foundation’s work with children and young people across our community. To put this into perspective, £45,000 could fund the delivery of 1-to-1 mentoring, sports provision and targeted intervention sessions across 36 schools, helping young people to improve confidence, attendance, wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement with education.

A shared effort that makes a real difference

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make Foundation Day such a success - including fans, supporters, sponsors, partners and volunteers. These days are only possible because of the collective commitment of so many people coming together with a shared purpose: to create opportunities for young people who need them most.

Impact across The Rec and beyond

The impact of Foundation Day was felt across every corner of The Rec - from the matchday atmosphere and community activation zones, to the visibility across hospitality areas, digital platforms and on-pitch moments that brought the partnership to life.

A particularly powerful moment was the screening of our Belonging film, featuring our Alternative Learning Hub students and showcasing what inclusion, confidence and opportunity truly look like in action. You can watch it below: 

Moments such as young flagbearers from a local SEN school walking out onto the pitch alongside players wearing Foundation Day shirts captured what the day is all about: creating confidence, opportunity and belonging for young people..

Beyond the match itself, the exposure continues through post-event content, social media storytelling and professional photography, by Clive Downing, shared with partners to extend the reach and impact of their involvement.

Continuing the impact together

As a charity, days like Foundation Day are vital. They enable us to do more, reach more young people, and build greater awareness of the impact being made across our community through sport, education and mentoring.

We are hugely thankful to everyone who played a part in making the day possible, and proud of what can be achieved when the community comes together in support of young people.
