Our action

We believe every child and every young person in Bath and North East Somerset deserves an equal opportunity and the same chance to succeed.

Our ambition is to change the lives of vulnerable children and young people who have not been given that equal chance of success.
We are a small team with a big voice and an even bigger impact. Every year Bath Rugby Foundation works with around 3,000 youngsters who’ve had the toughest start in life.

Our programmes focus on key areas of need in our community - Education, Inclusion and Employability. The children we work with are born into poverty, have a Special Educational Need or Disability, or are excluded because of their race or gender.

We target young people in their every day environments - whether that's in the park, at school or in the street. Bath Rugby Foundation gets involved where the need is greatest and our staff use the combined power of sport and education to motivate, raise self-esteem and increase confidence.

We improve life skills using the values of teamwork, loyalty, discipline and respect and work at The Rec, in schools, community centres and parks. We deliver mental, social, physical, wellbeing and employment programmes.

Our participants leave with raised confidence, and new life skills, part of the Bath Rugby family.

£5 Provides life-changing support, opening doors to education, inclusion, and opportunity for the young people who need it most.

£10 Allows us to provide a young person with learning disabilities their first experience of a fun and inclusive social club.

£20 Enables us to provide food for young people during our sessions, giving them access to a balanced diet.

£30 Ensures a young person can travel to our Alternative Learning Hub to access their education.

£50 Provides a week of sports activities for a young person, helping them to build confidence and friendships.
