Support us Appeals In Memory of Pete Kearney Donate Fundraise We are deeply saddened to share that Pete Kearney passed away unexpectedly at home on 31 January 2026, aged 65. A lifelong sports lover, Pete had a particular passion for rugby. He was a devoted supporter of Bath Rugby and a season ticket holder from 2004, proudly occupying the same seats in the Dyson Stand for more than 20 years. To many around the ground, Pete will be fondly remembered for his generous (and often unsolicited) match-day commentary, his unmistakable supportive roar, and his ever-present captain’s hat. Through rugby, Pete came to know many players over the years and was deeply affected by seeing how many lives have been impacted by Motor Neurone Disease (MND). He was also a long-standing supporter of the work of the Bath Rugby Foundation, recognising the difference it makes to young people and families in the local community. In Pete’s memory, his family kindly ask that anyone wishing to make a donation considers supporting the Bath Rugby Foundation and the MND Association. Donations can be made using the link below and will help continue the work that mattered so much to Pete. Thank you for remembering Pete and for your support.
