An honest conversation. A shared purpose. A lasting impact.

Two Foundations. One powerful purpose.

We were honoured to welcome Lewis Moody MBE for a truly special lunch at Emberwood, in conversation with Halena Coury, Head of Fundraising at Bath Rugby Foundation.

Lewis spoke with remarkable openness about the highs and lows of his playing career, the realities of retirement, and his recent diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). His honesty, vulnerability and resilience created a powerful atmosphere in the room - one that stayed with everyone long after the conversation ended.

For those unable to attend, we’re proud to share the filmed conversation, captured beautifully by Tim Hunt (Hunt & Create).

Support the causes behind the conversation

If watching this conversation moved you, inspired you, or gave you pause for thought, we invite you to take the next step.

This appeal supports two causes close to Lewis’ heart, which he has chosen, with all donations split equally between:

  • The Lewis Moody Foundation - supporting individuals and families affected by brain tumours

  • Bath Rugby Foundation - using the power of sport and education to change young lives, build confidence and create opportunities for young people facing disadvantage

Both charities are committed to helping people navigate life’s toughest challenges - whether through health, education, wellbeing or life beyond adversity.

Why your support matters

Lewis’ story is one of strength, honesty and humanity - but it also shines a light on the realities many people face every day.

Your donation will help:

  • Fund vital support for those living with brain tumours and their families

  • Enable Bath Rugby Foundation to continue delivering life-changing programmes for young people who need them most

  • Turn powerful conversations into meaningful, long-term impact

No matter the size, every donation helps, and together they allow both charities to continue their work with compassion, care and purpose.
