Bath Rugby Foundation delivers the Love Rugby Festivals on behalf of England Rugby

Bath Rugby Foundation is proud to be delivering the Love Rugby Festivals on behalf of England Rugby (RFU) - a nationwide initiative created to grow the girls’ game through inclusive, welcoming and enjoyable rugby experiences.

We recently hosted our latest festival, where nearly 30 girls joined us for an afternoon of fun, confidence-building rugby activities. Designed specifically for girls in school years 4–6 (U9–U11), the sessions encourage young players of every ability to give rugby a try in a supportive, positive environment. Whether a child is brand new to the game or already plays at school or a local club, the Love Rugby Festivals are all about enjoyment, connection and trying something new.

We delivered to 28 girls from five different rugby clubs. The RFU have asked us to deliver Love Rugby Festivals to help rugby clubs across the South grow their younger girls’ participation, which is part of the Impact 25 campaign. At Swanage and Wareham RFC, as coaches we created a fun and active couple of hours concentrating on teamwork, enjoyment and some T1 rugby skills, ensuring the girls went away with happy memories of the day.

Further festivals will be taking place in the New Year, offering even more opportunities for girls across our community to get involved.
