Latest news Bath Rugby Foundation’s first Welton Rugby Camp a huge success Bath Rugby Foundation’s Easter Rugby Camps reached an exciting new audience this year as we delivered our first-ever Rugby Camps at Welton Primary School – and they were a resounding success. Over four fun-filled days, children from across the area took part in high-energy rugby sessions that focused on building confidence, developing key skills, and having fun in a safe and inclusive environment. Our Community Coaches were blown away by the enthusiasm, teamwork and effort shown by all the children, many of whom were experiencing rugby for the first time. The sessions combined core rugby skills with engaging games and teamwork challenges – with a big emphasis on participation, enjoyment and making new friends, as well as nutritional sessions, teaching the kids about food and health. “We were so pleased to bring our Easter Rugby Camp to Welton this year,” said Bath Rugby Foundation Community Manager Alex. “The energy from the young players was fantastic, and it was brilliant to see them grow in confidence and skill over the four days. For many, it was their first taste of rugby – and they absolutely loved it.” Held during the school holidays, our Rugby Camps are designed to be accessible and welcoming for children of all backgrounds and abilities, and this latest camp was no exception. The Foundation remains committed to reaching new communities and using sport as a tool for positive social change. Following the success at Welton, Bath Rugby Foundation is looking forward to returning for future camps – and welcoming even more children to the joy of rugby.
