On Friday, 7th March, we welcomed over 70 guests to The Ivy, Bath, for a truly special International Women’s Day Lunch—an afternoon filled with inspiration, connection, and celebration.

With the support of our incredible sponsors—TBE, Mogers Drewett, Milsted Langdon, and Novia Global—we were able to bring together a room full of like-minded individuals, all passionate about championing women and girls, not just in sport but in every aspect of life.

Guests were welcomed with a drinks reception hosted by the Canned Wine Company before sitting down to hear from our guest speaker, the brilliant Dr Claire Marie Roberts. Claire’s career in sports psychology and athlete welfare has shaped the way we understand performance, resilience, and mental wellbeing in sport. She shared powerful insights into her journey, the challenges she has faced, and the importance of ensuring young people—particularly women—have the support, confidence, and opportunities to succeed.

Reflecting at the event, Claire said: "It's inspiring that those case studies around just one person fields a vision. I know that the work that any community foundation does is absolutely critical, certainly in the local community."

At Bath Rugby Foundation, our mission is to build confidence, develop life skills, and create pathways to independence for young people who need it most. Every year, we support around 1,500 young women and girls, using the power of sport to change lives.

Thanks to the generosity of our guests and supporters, the event raised over £3,000, which will go directly towards our programmes, helping more young people to thrive.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, our sponsors, The Ivy, Bath, for their outstanding hospitality, and our team for making this event such a success.
