Latest news Hambling View students thrive through Schools Partnership Since September, Bath Rugby Foundation has been delivering PE sessions for Hambling View through our Schools Partnership, providing their students with the opportunity to take part in physical education at our Hub. With limited outdoor space at school, Hambling View students have been visiting the Foundation twice a week to enjoy a variety of sports and physical activities - and the results have been transformational. From quiet and unsure in their first week, the group have grown into confident, creative young leaders. They’ve developed essential life skills such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving, while building confidence both in and out of school. Their progress was perfectly captured in a recent session, where the students invented, delivered and taught their own game - “Crazy Ultimate Golf” - to Bath Rugby Foundation coaches and their teachers. This imaginative and engaging activity was designed entirely by the group, using everything they’ve learnt since joining the programme to create a fun, inclusive game that promotes teamwork and movement. The partnership between Bath Rugby Foundation and Hambling View will continue until Christmas, with sessions designed to enrich students’ physical and personal development. Bath Rugby Foundation’s Schools Partnership works with schools across the region to support young people through sport, especially where access to facilities or structured PE opportunities may be limited. Each partnership is tailored to help students build confidence, develop life skills, and find enjoyment through physical activity. If your school would benefit from working with Bath Rugby Foundation through our Schools Partnership, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch at [email protected] Manage Cookie Preferences
