Today marks the start of Trustees’ Week 2024, a national celebration of nearly one million trustees across the UK who give their time, skills, and passion to support charities. Trustees’ Week gives us the chance to show our appreciation for their dedication and to spotlight the challenges that boards face, especially in areas of recruitment and retention.

The theme for this year, Trustee Recruitment and Retention, is a priority across the charity sector. The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) recognises that strong, active, and well-supported trustee boards are critical to the success of any charity. By focusing on these areas, NCVO aims to help organisations strengthen and sustain trustee boards, which are the backbone of so many impactful initiatives.

At Bath Rugby Foundation, we are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated group of trustees who guide and support our mission to inspire and empower young people in our community. We are proud to recognise their commitment, expertise, and vision, which are essential to every success and milestone we achieve.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to each of our trustees:

  • David Scotland – Chairman of Trustees
  • Chris Alexander
  • Tarquin McDonald – CEO of Bath Rugby
  • Louise Harvey
  • Emma Haines
  • Claire Taylor
  • Christopher Potter
  • Emma Davis – Treasurer

Each trustee plays a vital role in shaping our work, ensuring we remain true to our mission, and helping us create positive change through sport, education, and inclusivity.

We are proud to celebrate our trustees’ remarkable contributions today and invite our supporters to join us in recognising the dedication of trustees here at Bath Rugby Foundation and across the UK.
