Bath Rugby Foundation’s annual London Lunch returned with warmth, generosity and an atmosphere full of connection - and together, our supporters helped raise an incredible £56,000 to change the lives of vulnerable young people across Bath and the surrounding area.

While the room was filled with laughter and brilliant conversation, the heart of the event came from a powerful reminder of why we gather each year.

During her speech, Halena, our Head of Fundraising, shared Joe’s story - the journey of a young person who felt invisible, disengaged from school and genuinely believed he had no future. Like so many of the young people we support through our programmes, Joe walked through our doors with low confidence, no structure and little hope.

Through Bath Rugby Foundation, he found exactly what he needed:
safety, consistency, trust, belief - and adults who refused to give up on him.

Joe’s story is not an outlier. He is one of 10,000 young people across Bath and the surrounding area who need meaningful support to stay in education, build confidence and create a future they can genuinely believe in.

Events such as our London Lunch enable us to reach more of these young people, give them more opportunities and help them find their feet.
