Disadvantaged children

We believe that every child in Bath and North East Somerset deserves an equal opportunity and therefore the chance to succeed.

Bath Rugby Foundation exists because children in Bath are not being given that equal chance at success.

Much of our focus is on youngsters who, whether it is due to economic factors, disability or an unequal access to education, may be at risk of not reaching their full potential.

Working with schools, community groups and other charities we work in communities where children are disadvantaged.

Crucially, our coaches go into those communities and help plug the gaps where they exist.

We are also based in the heart of Bath, within easy reach of every area we feel there is a need.

We believe that by giving entire families new skills and new knowledge the disadvantaged young people we want to reach will feel the benefit for years to come.
Young adults

Our delivery does not end when children become young adults. We continue to support young adults in the areas of education, employability and inclusion.

We work with disability groups to promote social inclusion and break down the barriers that may have held youngsters back in the past
Youth and community groups

We support the networks that already exist within communities to reach young people in their own environments
Charities

Bath Rugby Foundation works with a number of like-minded charities in the area to deliver programmes to disadvantaged children and young people.
Schools

Bath Rugby Foundation works with local schools to help reduce the attainment gap that exists for disadvantaged young people by increasing and improving classroom engagement.
