Our Mission Meet the team Lucy Slade Meet Lucy Slade, our Communications Manager at Bath Rugby Foundation! With a background in editing and journalism for two newspapers in North Somerset, Lucy's all set to bring her storytelling skills and passion for social impact to the team. Our Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies across digital and traditional platforms. She manages media relations, creates content for social media, newsletters, press releases, and ensures consistent messaging. This role also includes email marketing campaigns, ensuring they are engaging and effective, while managing and analysing data to track performance. Additionally, Lucy is tasked with maintaining accurate communication databases, ensuring GDPR compliance, and using data insights to optimise strategies. The Communications Manager supports fundraising, programme initiatives, and builds the Foundation’s visibility. With a passion to create change, Lucy uses her previous skills in the media industry to amplify the charity's voice with the goal to change young people's lives. Talking about her role, Lucy said: "I am so excited to dive into the Foundation's mission of empowering young people in B&NES. I want to use my love of crafting compelling narratives and engaging content to make some noise and spark change for our young people. "The Foundation's incredible ability to build confidence within young people is inspirational. I want to make sure every single person has heard of 'Bath Rugby Foundation' so we can continue to create this change through our projects and outreach in the community."
