Our Mission Our stories Isabelle Draper Isabelle Draper, a vibrant 6-year-old, has been attending Bath Rugby Foundation’s BreakOut Holiday Camp for three years. Starting at just three years old, Isabelle was one of our youngest participants. Her journey with us highlights the positive impact our camp can have on young lives, particularly in building confidence and developing life skills. When Isabelle first joined BreakOut, it was the first organised provision she had ever attended. From the start, she enjoyed the camp, quickly making friends, practising her art, and socialising with other children. Our inclusive and supportive environment has allowed Isabelle to flourish in ways that extend beyond the camp. Louis, one of our dedicated Community Coaches, has had the privilege of watching Isabelle grow over the years. He recalls her early days at BreakOut, noting a significant transformation: "Isabelle has built a trusting relationship with staff members and is happy to attend. Her confidence has been boosted by coming to BreakOut. I remember her from two years ago, and she is now more confident, rather than the quiet individual she was before. She is happy to go off and find her friends, initiate games, and be creative. She has grown a lot, showing that she is open to sharing and playing with other participants." Isabelle's newfound confidence is evident as she now eagerly initiates games and engages with her peers, displaying leadership qualities that were not as apparent when she first joined. Isabelle is one of three children and lives with her mum and stepdad. Her mum has expressed her gratitude for the BreakOut programme, noting that Isabelle participates in a range of other activities, including martial arts, swimming, dancing, and art. However, with a new baby at home and her mum not working to take care of the household, BreakOut provides Isabelle with a valuable outlet. At home, things can get quite busy, but when Isabelle returns from BreakOut, she is always well-behaved and excited to share her experiences. This not only benefits Isabelle by giving her a space to express herself but also provides her mum with peace of mind, knowing that her daughter is happy and content at our camps. Isabelle Draper's journey with Bath Rugby Foundation’s BreakOut Holiday Camp is a testament to the transformative power of our programmes. From a quiet young girl to a confident and creative participant, Isabelle's growth over the past three years has been remarkable. The camp has become a place where she can thrive, make friends, and explore her creativity, while also providing her family with much-needed support. We are proud to have been a part of Isabelle’s journey and look forward to seeing her continue to grow and succeed. Manage Cookie Preferences
